01Colors, corners and gradient
In the admin, open Structure -> Themes. The page opens on the Colors tab.
Pick the Primary color, the Secondary color and the Accent color. Use the color picker, type a code such as
#6366f1, or press one of the Sample colors.Under Corners, move the Roundness slider. 0 px gives sharp corners, 28 px very round ones.
Press Save.
Dark mode colors: turn on the switch to use other brand colors when the site is in dark mode. A color that reads well on a white page is often too dark on a black one.
Gradient: turn on the switch for a color transition on hero sections and buttons. Under Gradient type, pick Brand (primary to secondary color), Fade (primary color to a light tint) or Custom (you pick both colors). Angle sets the direction.
While you edit, the admin itself shows the new colors, so you see them at once. The tabs Colors, Logo and Fonts share one Save button. Press Save before you leave the page.
Reset puts Husly's default values back on all three tabs, the logos too. Nothing changes on your site until you press Save.
If you later pick another design under Structure -> Designs, its colors and fonts replace yours. Your logos and favicon stay.
02Logo, favicon and fonts
Open the Logo tab in Structure -> Themes. It has three pictures:
Logo (light background): used on light backgrounds, for example in the header.
Logo (dark background): used on dark backgrounds and in dark mode.
Favicon: the icon in the browser tab and in Google search results.
Press Pick logo or Pick favicon to choose the picture. SVG or a PNG with a transparent background works best.
Google shows a favicon as a square and stretches any other shape. Use a square picture (1:1), 48 x 48 px or larger. If your picture is not square, Husly warns you under the field. You can still save it.
On the Fonts tab, pick a Google font for each kind of text: Body text, Secondary / headings, Heading H1 to Heading H6, Buttons and Links.
Each row has Font, Weight and Size, and a sample line shows the result. If you leave the font empty, the site uses the system font.
04Fine-tune the header and footer
The details of the header and the footer are in Structure -> Customize, on the Header and Footer cards of the General tab.
Header: Header scroll behavior (Sticky, Static or Reveal on scroll up), Shadow, Background, Size and layout with the Logo height, Search and Client portal. With the Glass, Liquid Glass or Kinetic header you also get Compaction on scroll.
Footer: Layout, Top stripe, Logo, Tagline, Copyright text, Company details, Partner logos, Payment logos and Show social icons.
Columns & links in the footer saves by itself. The rest of the page needs Save.
The links of the header menu come from Structure -> Menus. How to add a page there: Pages and menus.
A Free site shows a small "Made with Husly" line at the bottom of every page. Every paid plan takes it away. The plans are on the pricing page.
05Light and dark mode, buttons and effects
The other cards on the General tab of Structure -> Customize change the whole public site:
| Card | What it changes |
|---|---|
| Color mode | Light, Dark or Auto, which follows the visitor's device. In Auto mode, Show mode toggle adds a light/dark switch to the header. |
| Toolbar on the site | A bar at the top of the public site for the site's signed-in users. A normal visitor never sees it. |
| Toast position | Where the site's short notices appear. |
| Accent button glow | A glow on highlighted buttons. |
| Button animation | One animation for every button on the site. A single button can override it. |
| Page transition | The page goes dark for a moment when a visitor opens another page. It is off until you turn it on. |
Press Save at the top. Until you do, you see Unsaved changes next to the button.
The Blog tab sets what the blog list and a single post show, for example the cover image, the date and the tags. More about the blog: Blog.
06Your brand voice for AI
Structure -> Brand opens the Brand hub. Here you tell Husly how your site sounds. AI uses it for the tone of headlines, buttons and texts, not to invent facts.
Voice: pick a Tone (Formal, Friendly or Sales-oriented) and a Primary call-to-action (Call, Request a quote, Book an appointment or Get in touch). Under What to emphasize, write a short phrase, for example: fast service, 20 years of experience.
Business DNA: under Describe your business, write what you do, where and for whom. AI uses this text when it writes for your site.
Press a chosen option again to clear it. The tabs share one Save button.
Not sure what to pick? Let AI ask you:
Open the AI interview tab and press Start interview.
Answer a few short questions. Press a suggested answer, or type your own and press Answer.
AI proposes a tone, a call to action and an emphasis. Press Apply to voice, or Start over to try again.
Check the Voice tab and press Save. Nothing is saved before that.
The AI interview is part of the plans with AI writing, Pro and up. On other plans the tab is locked, and you set the voice by hand. When this month's AI credit is used up, the interview stops, but the Voice tab still works. The plans are on the pricing page.
